So, Metallica co-manager Cliff Burnstein wonders what happened to all the KNAC listeners (Pop Eye, Nov. 23)? I’ll tell you what happened to them. They’re sitting around starved for good, hard, honest rock ‘n’ roll radio.
Did any band KNAC featured lift one finger to save the station that had the guts to rock like no other station on this planet?

I really wonder what it takes to become an act that “has received lots of media and public attention” (Pop Eye, Nov. 23).
Steve Hochman lists seven acts as “lesser known.” One of these, Amanda Marshall, has sold as many albums in North America as the other six acts combined! She opened for John Mellencamp on his “Mr. Happy Go Lucky” tour. Hochman must have missed that concert, because once you hear her live you won’t forget her.
