Three of the five members of the governing board of the Las Virgenes Unified School District have announced they will seek reelection Nov. 4.
Board President Charlotte Meyer and members Barbara Bowman Fagelson and Judy Jordan are all running for another four-year term.
Betty Brown, executive assistant to the district superintendent, said the filing deadline is still weeks away, so possible opponents have not yet materialized.
Fagelson is seeking her fourth term, Jordan is seeking her third and Meyer is aiming for her second.
In a statement, Meyer said goals shared by all three incumbents include placing a bond measure on the November ballot, continuing to reduce class size and integrating technology with instruction.
“The harmonious working relationship among all board members is another reason that the three have decided to run for another term,” Meyer said. “They look forward to four more years of positive problem-solving as they continue to guide the district to even higher levels of excellence.”
