‘Beyond Barbed Wire’ to Have L.A. Premiere

“Beyond Barbed Wire,” a documentary on World War II Japanese American veterans who fought in a segregated unit to prove their loyalty to the U.S. while their families remained in internment camps, will have its Los Angeles premiere July 12 at the Japan America Theater, JACCC Plaza, Little Tokyo, as a benefit for the 100th/442nd/MIS Memorial Foundation. It will play one week at the Music Hall in Beverly Hills starting July 18. Information: (408) 646-9532.
