Confirming reports of heavy early bookings for European flights, sales of international air tickets were up 13% in May and 16% in April over the previous year, according to the Airlines Reporting Corp. . . . Starting Monday, young visitors to La Jolla can take hands-on summer classes in marine life lasting one to five days at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
