If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, it’s also the surest formula for failure (“Deja Viewing,” June 15).

Every year the TV networks present clones of old shows and every year the networks’ audience gets smaller and smaller and smaller. For a business which depends on the number of viewers it can deliver to advertisers, isn’t there anyone there who can put those two facts together?
