Grays Harbor Beats Vigilantes, 3-2

Grays Harbor beat the Vigilantes, 3-2, in the opening game of a three-game series Friday in Hoquiam, Wash.
Grays Harbor (14-12) scored all its runs in the second inning when Mark Rendina drove in two runs with a single and Al Mealing followed with an RBI single.
The Vigilantes scored on Corey Parker’s home run in the seventh inning and Bret Barberie’s fifth-inning RBI single. The Vigilantes drop to 11-15.
Al Walania (3-1) was the winning pitcher. Paul Anderson (1-4), who pitched seven innings, took the loss.
Alan Burke, one of the few Vigilante players who has remained effective with a team-high .363 batting average and six home runs, was ejected for arguing with an umpire.
The series continues tonight with a game at 7:05.
