SAN DIEGO — A small plane crashed Friday just after taking off from Brown Field near the Mexican border, killing the pilot and both passengers, officials said.
The twin-engine Piper-Navajo appeared to have lost power, sending it plummeting into a barren portion of Otay Mesa at 12:46 p.m.
The names of the victims have not been released. There were no injuries or damaged structures on the ground.
