Agencies to Lend Hand to Homeless Veterans

Hundreds of homeless veterans are expected to gather at a Long Beach stadium this weekend to receive free medical attention, meals and a shower.
Various public and private agencies will offer services until 2 p.m. Sunday at the seventh annual “Stand Down” event at Long Beach City College’s Veterans Stadium at Clark Avenue and Lew Davis Street.
