Jin Park of Fullerton started five shots back, rallied to tie, then won on the fourth playoff hole in American Junior Golf Assn. event Thursday on the Dinah Shore Tournament course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
Park shot a three-under 69, which tied for the low round of the tournament, in the final round to finish with a three-round total of 217. He beat Brian Nosler of Lake Oswego, Ore., and James Oh of Lakewood in the playoff.
Candie Kung of Fountain Valley, the second-round leader, finished third in the girls’ division at 221. Nico Bollini of Yorba Linda was second in the boys’ 13-14 at 222.
