5 Arrested in Drug Investigation in Huntington

Responding to several complaints from residents, police have arrested five people suspected of either using drugs or dealing out of their homes, officials said Thursday.

Narcotics detectives from the Cypress, Orange, Westminster, Garden Grove and Placentia police departments coordinated their efforts with Huntington Beach authorities in a late-afternoon raid Thursday, Huntington Beach police Lt. Gary Brooks said.

Anthony Luna, 25, and Raymond Traber, 27, both of the 1800 block of Demion Lane in Huntington Beach, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a methamphetamine pipe, police said.

Kimberly Rivero, 26, who lived in the same apartment with Luna, was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and a probation violation, police said.

In addition, William Flannigan, 19, of the 8000 block of Ellis Avenue in Huntington Beach, was arrested on suspicion of possession marijuana and a clone cell phone.

Alexander Luna, 32, of Orange was arrested on a vehicle code violation, police said.

Brooks said the raids did not yield major quantities of drugs or cash. But neighbors had complained several times about a stream of visitors in and out of the suspects’ homes at all hours, he said.

“We found no major caches of narcotics, but it was certainly a welcome relief for the neighbors,” Brooks said.
