6 People Reportedly Held for Banned Book

Police have detained six people over a banned novel with a plot strikingly similar to a corruption scandal that led to the downfall of senior Communist official Chen Xitong, Chinese sources said. Beijing police took the six in for questioning last month over their alleged involvement in the publishing and circulation of the novel “Wrath of Heaven,” said the sources, who asked not to be identified.
