20 Seats at $20 for ‘Rent’ in La Jolla

There will be up to 20 seats at $20 available for nearly every performance of Jonathan Larson’s musical “Rent” at the La Jolla Playhouse from July 1 to Sept. 14.
The special seats are not available for the July 12 matinee “Pay What You Can/Access Performance,” the July 12 evening playhouse benefit “Rent Event,” or the July 13 evening press opening.
The tickets will go on sale at the box office at noon on the day of the show for evening and matinee performances.
Sales are cash-only and limited to two tickets per person.
They cannot be ordered by telephone.
