A blocked electrical circuit in Port Hueneme caused a widespread power outage in Port Hueneme on Tuesday evening.
More than 3,300 Southern California Edison customers were affected by the outage, which began at 6:45 p.m., said Steve Shender, an Edison spokesman. Four crews worked to restore electricity to the area, he said.
“It may take awhile, there are a lot of underground lines in the area,” Shender said.
By 9 p.m., power was restored to about half the customers in the area, he said. The cause of the electrical circuit blockage was not immediately known.
