Improved his 1996 batting average by 189 points to edge Heritage Christian’s Paul Caffrey for the county batting title. Helped the Wolverines stay in the league race until the final week by playing all infield positions except first. “This year he learned how to use the whole park, which made him a bigger threat,” Coach Mike Chapman said.
