Giant Map Collection Trickles Onto Internet

WASHINGTON — For the first time, 26 maps from the world’s largest collection went on the Internet on Monday from the Library of Congress, which has 4.5 million more to go.
More maps will be added each day, said Ralph E. Ehrenberg, chief of the library’s geography and map section.
