Film Series to Screen ‘Laura’

The 11th annual Last Remaining Seats film series will continue on Wednesday with the 1944 film noir “Laura,” at the Palace Theatre, 630 S. Broadway in downtown Los Angeles.
The series, which continues every Wednesday through July 2 at one of the ornate theaters in Broadway’s Historic Theater District, is presented by the Los Angeles Conservancy. This year’s lineup includes:
June 18: “Enamorada” (1946) (in Spanish with English subtitles) at the State Theatre, 703 S. Broadway. Actress Salma Hayek will introduce the screening.
June 25: “Meet Me in St. Louis” (1944), at the Los Angeles Theatre, 615 S. Broadway.
July 2: “Animal Crackers” (1930), at the Orpheum.
All screenings begin at 8 p.m.
Advance tickets are $12 each, or $50 for the series. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $15. Advance tickets for members of the Los Angeles Conservancy are $10 each, $40 for the series.
