Skeels Sits Down Again After Playing Catch-Up

David Skeels’ week in the sun ended Friday, when Dusty Wathan returned to the starting lineup.
Skeels, who was the JetHawks’ No. 3 catcher two weeks ago, ascended to No. 1 last weekend, when Wathan got hurt and Mike Martin retired. Skeels started five games in a row while Wathan was hurt.
“It was great,” said Skeels, a graduate of Thousand Oaks High. “It was like being back in Legion ball again. It’s been a while since I played every day.”
