They are dressed up as the Pink Ladies and T-Birds from “Grease,” they’re singing in the rain and they’re performing some of their favorite songs from the “Sound of Music.”
This weekend, Lennox students will take to the stage with a revue of well-known show tunes in the third annual Jefferson Elementary School theatrical performance. The production has become a favorite event among students, teachers and parents, all of whom take part in the event.
Parents make costumes and props, teachers direct and students perform in the production. Students from every grade level will perform the songs in English and provide introductions and interpretations in Spanish.
Performances are scheduled at the Jefferson Elementary School Cafeteria at 10322 Condon Ave. tonight at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is $2.
