SANTA ANA — Brown Disc Products Co. is changing its name to Quartz Group Inc. and has asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to change its ticker symbol to QGRP. The stock trades over-the-counter.
Brown Disc’s shareholders approved the moves Wednesday. The company, which markets magnetic storage products for computers, is redirecting its focus to quartz glass used in semiconductor processing.
