One Hit, Two Errors

Having savored a similar trip in the East with my daughter and her family four memorable summers ago, I thought Margaret Engel’s article on ballpark-oriented vacations (“Ballpark Fun and Games,” May 18) was a “grand slam.”
Two clarifications are needed. First, on Jack Benny’s classic radio show, the litany “ . . . Anaheim, Azusa and Cuca-a-monga” sparked laughs because each was little more than a wide spot in the road. No “Rancho” back then.
Additionally, the train announcer was not Jack Benny. It was the memorably versatile cast member Mel Blanc.
