Walter P. Morris II, owner of Promotional Marketing Concepts in Camarillo and president of Ventura County Crime Stoppers, has been elected to the board of directors for the Crime Stoppers state organization.
Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit organization, fosters cooperation between the public, media and law enforcement by offering up to $1,000 for anonymous information that solves crimes.
* Michael Ladiana, Robert A. Packer and Joseph Cammalleri have formed PLC Securities Inc. and allied themselves with the brokerage firm Thomas F. White and Co.
Other brokers in the office are Roman Mahone and Lora Simonsgaard. The company is at 1727 Mesa Verde, Suite 203, Ventura.
* Jan Hester of Ventura has purchased a Norrell Services franchise and will open a branch of the temporary employment service at 1300 Eastman Ave. in Ventura.
She has worked with Norrell Corp. for 11 years as a customer services manager, area operations manager, major accounts manager and branch manager.
Hester began her career in human resources and personnel in the aerospace and computer manufacturing industries.
* Anne Marie Furie has been promoted to director of strategic accounts for Capital Relations Inc. in Westlake Village.
She joined the company three years ago as an account coordinator.
Capital Relations is a strategic marketing firm specializing in high technology.
* John R. Brant has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation from American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Those receiving the designation must complete a 10-course curriculum of study and 20 hours of supervised examinations, plus meet stringent requirements related to experience and ethics.
Brant has been a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in Oxnard for five years.
* John Grace has joined the Premier Client Division of Financial Network Investment Corp. in Westlake Village.
Grace will participate in an advanced training conference this year and attend a special program on advanced investment strategies for clients with high net worth.
Grace has worked with investment clients in Ventura and Los Angeles counties for 18 years.
