Fullerton, Cypress Share Conference Softball Title

Fullerton and Cypress won Monday to finish the regular season tied for first in the Orange Empire Conference softball race.

Kristy Bonwell had three hits and scored three times as Fullerton (32-11, 19-2) beat OCC, 10-1.

Cypress (59-4, 19-2) beat host Rancho Santiago, 2-0, Monday.

In the Orange Empire Conference golf championships:

Saddleback dominates--Mike McGinley, the conference player of the year, shot rounds of 70 and 74 at Singing Hills in El Cajon to finish at par 144 as Saddleback won with a score of 754. Palomar was second at 772.
