Ex-Leaders’ Kin to Talk on Cold War

Children and grandchildren of former Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Dwight D. Eisenhower and former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev will share their insights on the Cold War during a June 9 gathering at UC Irvine’s Barclay Theatre.
“Sons & Daughters of the Cold War: Private Perspectives vs. Public Perceptions,” which will begin at 8 p.m., will feature David Eisenhower, and grandson of the 34th president; Julie Nixon Eisenhower, daughter of the 37th president and David’s wife; and Sergei Khrushchev, son of the Soviet premiere.
