Former Pakistani Ambassador to Speak

Jamsheed K.A. Marker, Pakistan’s former ambassador to the United Nations, will present “The U.N. in the 21st Century,” a free public lecture Thursday at Orange Coast College.
Marker served as his country’s U.N. representative from 1990 to 1993 and ambassador to the United States from 1986 to 1989.
In more than 30 years of diplomatic service, he served as ambassador to Ghana, Romania, the Soviet Union, Canada, East and West Germany, Japan and France.
The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Student Center Lounge. OCC is located at 2701 Fairview Road.
