Ten singers and a 12-piece orchestra known as the Celebrant Singers will visit a Woodland Hills church tonight for a free concert.
St. Mel Catholic Church will host an evening of Christian music by the Celebrant Singers, a troupe touring nationally and internationally this year to spread its self-described “music ministry,” organizers said.
“While similar groups traditionally have had an exclusively Protestant audience, Celebrant Singers is the first full-time contemporary Christian singing group to have a widespread ministry among America’s 60 million Roman Catholics,” group founder Jon Stemkoski said.
Tonight’s concert, which will be open to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 20870 Ventura Blvd.
A sign-language interpreter will be provided.
