If you are young, smart and interested in local politics, Thousand Oaks may have a position for you.
No, it’s not on the City Council. The Thousand Oaks Youth Commission is seeking qualified members.
City residents between 13 and 19 are eligible. Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office at the Civic Arts Plaza, open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Exemplary students with an interest in government are ideal candidates.
Commissioners interact with city officials and council members, providing input regarding youth issues.
