Dozens of Orange County high school students were among those recognized as top technology scholars by Tandy Corp. as part of the company’s annual scholarship program.
Monika Roy, a student at Troy High School in Fullerton, was one of 100 students nationally to receive a $1,000 award from Tandy. The awards recognize students who are in the top 2% of their graduating classes and have demonstrated excellence in mathematics, science or computer science.
Elene Terry, another senior at Troy High, received honorable mention. Students from at least 14 other Orange County schools received certificates for being considered for the awards.
