Softball
Cessna was the key as Irvine Valley brought home the first tournament title in the program’s seven-year history. Cessna had a 3-1 record in the tournament, including shutouts against Lassen and Kings River. Cessna gave up two runs in the first inning, then shut out Imperial Valley the rest of the way as the Lasers won the title game, 3-2. She had 26 strikeouts in 23 innings. Cessna also was five for 14 and drove in three runs.
Softball

* Cypress, sophomore. She won three games in the Southwestern tournament to improve to 25-2 this season.
