Re “ ‘A Mike’s a Mike’; Controversial DJ Welcomes Move to Tiny KCSN,” March 21.

I am a regular listener and was pleasantly surprised to hear [Bonnie Grice’s] friendly, familiar voice when I tuned in to her first program on [KCSN-FM at Cal State Northridge] on March 4.

A prime reason for my strong allegiance to her is that she recognizes the powerful and influential role that women composers and musicians can evoke in the music world of today. She regularly weaves their work into the fabric of her daily scheduling.

I also like to hear her interviews with artists performing in the area. She is always upbeat and enthusiastic, which makes listening to her program something I look forward to.
