Azusa Pacific Gets Knocked Out of NAIA

Central Washington overcame a 14-point second-half deficit thanks to three-point shooting and upset 12th-seeded Azusa Pacific, 87-76, in the second round of the NAIA tournament at Tulsa, Okla.

In the lowest-scoring national tournament contest in 36 years, Biola (28-6) fell, 41-36, to Oklahoma Baptist (34-3), which advanced to the third round of the NAIA tournament. Lamond Ford led the Bison with 12 points. Matt Garrison had 13 points for Biola.

Kebu Stewart scored 17 points as Cal State Bakersfield (28-4) advanced to the NCAA Division II championship game with an 81-68 victory over Salem-Teikyo (28-3) at Louisville, Ky. The Roadrunners will play Northern Kentucky (30-4), which beat Lynn (Fla.), 79-58.
