Representatives from more than 30 universities and colleges will participate on Wednesday at Mission College in a “transfer fair” for students interested in attending four-year schools.
In addition to providing information about how to apply and transfer to their schools, the representatives will discuss financial aid, scholarships and other related issues, said Esau Tovar, career guidance counselor at Mission.
Among the universities to be represented at the fair are several UC and Cal State University campuses, Pepperdine University, Cal Lutheran and Mount St. Mary’s College.
“The information varies a lot from school to school,” Tovar said.
High school students and adults who are considering returning to school are welcome at the fair, Tovar said.
The free program will be held at two different times during the day--from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 4 to 7 p.m.--in Mission’s Campus Center, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar. For information, call (818) 364-7652.
