Bank Guard Wants to Return to Job

The bank guard found cowering in the basement the day after a deadly shootout wants to go back to work, her boss said. Virene Brown was found in the Comerica bank’s boiler room after Allen Lane Griffin Jr. went on a shooting spree in Detroit that led to four deaths, including his own. Brown will return to work whenever she’s ready, said Howard Spector, senior vice president of Guardsmark Inc., the bank’s Memphis, Tenn.-based security company.
