Recognition, Yes, but an Academy Award?

Hey, Dan Rather, “get real” yourself (“No Debbie? Get Real, Academy,” Counterpunch, Feb. 17). Maybe Debbie Reynolds deserves the “Danny Award,” but the Academy Award?
To be sure, she deserves recognition for what she accomplished, and I hope the “Danny Award” will be sufficient.
But don’t cry. I’m giving the “Elaine Award” to Courtney Love.
