Checks and Balance

Regarding the letter from Bob Launius (“Two Views on Checks,” Jan. 26): I found Mr. Launius’ comments to be egotistical and an expression of deep anger. Traveling is a gift of life experience, regardless how it is done. One style is no less or no more than another.
Unnecessary expenditures are always a concern, and making comments on those traps [i.e., fees to exchange traveler’s checks] does not constitute “sniveling.”
Please do not allow angry, hostile individuals to ventilate against other readers.
