Guard James Cotton scored a game-high 23 points for Long Beach (6-9, 2-3). Center Ike Nwankwo played his best game of the season, finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Gauchos (7-8, 2-3) were led by Raymond Tutt, who scored 17.
