Mass Murderer Is Imprisoned for Life

Martin Bryant, who committed Australia’s worst modern-day massacre, was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison for killing 35 people in an April shooting spree in Tasmania. Chief Justice William Cox handed down 35 life sentences against Bryant and said he would never be eligible for parole. Australia has no death penalty.
