Museum Is Seeking Art Walk Organizer

The Conejo Valley Art Museum is looking for someone to coordinate its 10th annual juried Art Walk show, a two-day event featuring 150 artists.
No encyclopedic knowledge of Picasso required; museum director Maria Dessornes said the primary quality she’s looking for is energy.
“They have to be energetic and a self-starter,” Dessornes said. “And they have to be able to coordinate.”
The job will entail soliciting artists to participate, then picking 150 contenders and arranging all the details of the event, which takes place during the first weekend in June. Dessornes said the setting will probably be on the lawn of the Exxon building on Hillcrest Drive, as it has been in the past.
The coordinator will receive a fee of $2,400. Dessornes is asking candidates to send resumes to her at the Conejo Valley Art Museum, P.O. Box 1616, Thousand Oaks, 91358. She hopes to pick someone for the job by December. For more information, contact Dessornes at 492-2147.
