The VCEDA Environmental Affairs Division has been advocating consideration of the economic impacts of environmental rules and regulations affecting the business vitality of Ventura County, organizers said.
The workshop, which is geared toward small-business owners, manufacturers, agribusinesses and property owners, will discuss upcoming regulations and their impact on businesses’ bottom lines, said Kina Batelaan, an environmental consultant who will speak at the workshop.
Besides Batelaan, the workshop will include presentations by VCEDA Environmental Affairs Division Chairman Tom Umenhofer of Sierra Pacific Environmental, John Conlan of Chaparral Associates, John Moore of MSE Environmental and Marv King of Procter & Gamble.
The meeting will be held at the Oxnard Hilton Inn, 600 Esplanade Drive. Admission is $15 for VCEDA members with reservations and $20 for nonmembers or for tickets purchased at the door. Reservations can be made by phone at 339-1072 and by fax at 988-1027.
