Camarillo Man Held in 20 Burglaries

A 23-year-old Camarillo man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of committing 20 burglaries in Simi Valley apartments between October and February.
Shawn Janaman was booked into Ventura County Jail. An April 11 search of his apartment linked him to the burglaries, Simi Valley police said. About $1,000 worth of stolen cameras, stereos and other household items had been found in his apartment, according to police.
Police said they think that Janaman stole about $35,700 worth of electronic equipment, televisions, computer equipment, video recorders, compact discs and jewelry. Five burglaries occurred in the 1800 block of Ridgegate Lane, and 15 burglaries were committed in apartment complexes on Country Club Drive.
