Fountain Valley Wins League Baseball Title

Wes Pomerleau scored on Matt Fox’s one-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the eighth inning as Fountain Valley defeated Esperanza, 1-0, in a Sunset League baseball game Saturday at Fountain Valley.
With the victory, the Barons clinch their fourth consecutive league title and sixth in the last eight seasons.
Kameron Nielsen went the distance for Fountain Valley (18-6, 10-3), giving up only four hits and striking out five.
