*** Loudon Wainwright III, “Grown Man,” Charisma/Virgin. The veteran troubadour offers more self-deprecating wisdom on growing up, growing older, bad grammar and his cheatin’ heart. Maybe some of the jokes are too cute for his own good, but there’s real regret in “Father/Daughter Dialogue,” a painful, brutally honest duet with his 19-year-old daughter, Martha. Proof enough that even funny men live real lives. Wainwright will be at the Troubadour on Thursday.
