Orange County Behavioral Management Co.: A majority interest in the Newport Beach company, which manages behavioral health-care and provider practices, has been acquired by Atlanta’s Group Practice Affiliates Inc. Orange County Behavioral’s main contract is with Newport PsychCare, an independent psychiatric and mental-health practice association.
Group Practice Affiliates also has management agreements with organizations providing behavioral-health services in Virginia, Arizona, Texas and Pennsylvania. It is a subsidiary of Charter Medical Corp.
