WESTMINSTER : School Board Names Teacher of the Year

The Westminster School District Board of Trustees named Randi Leach as Teacher of the Year at its regular meeting last week.
The sixth-grade teacher at Cecil B. DeMille Elementary School was selected by a district committee from 23 nominees out of 380 teachers, spokeswoman Audrey Brown said.
“Randi is exactly the type of person we look for every year,” Assistant Supt. Barbara Fileto said.
“She has an obvious love for her students and the teaching profession, tons of enthusiasm, lots of activities and volunteer projects and the utmost respect from her peers. Randi is an absolutely model teacher,” Fileto said.
