2,000 Trout to Be Put in Lake Casitas

Anglers can get their gear ready to catch the 2,000 rainbow trout that will be plunged into Lake Casitas on Thursday.
Weighing approximately one pound each, the trout will come from the cold waters of River Trout Farm in MacKay, Ida.
During the winter, Lake Casitas is regularly stocked with fish. Nearly 2,900 pounds of channel catfish were launched into the lake last week.
