Burton Again Named All-American

Nichelle Burton, a senior outside hitter at Long Beach State, was selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Assn. All-American team for the third consecutive season, the AVCA announced Wednesday.

The AVCA selected Burton, Big West Conference player of the year, to its first team for the second consecutive season. Traci Dahl, a 49er senior middle blocker, made the second team. Long Beach State finished 27-6 and won its fourth consecutive Big West championship.
