City Looking for Top Decorations

BUENA PARK — Residents who spot a particularly clever holiday decoration should immediately inform the authorities.
The Beautification-Environmental Commission is seeking nominations for the 1994 holiday awards program by Tuesday to honor decorations that are “attractive, well-built and demonstrate pride in the community,” said Patty Kryger of the Public Works Department.
The creations can be on private dwellings or multi-tenant and commercial buildings, and the commission will judge a separate category for “special recognition.”
Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and a dinner for two from the City Council in January.
Nominations should be sent to Kryger at the Buena Park Public Works Department, P.O. Box 5009, Buena Park, Calif. 90622. Nominators may also call (714) 562-3651.
They should note the name, address, telephone and nearest cross street of the decoration.
