BREA — Police from three cities staked out a beauty salon Tuesday and watched a robbery, arresting four men suspected of about 40 salon robberies since April.
Officers from Anaheim, Buena Park and Fullerton were watching the beauty salon in the 250 block of East Imperial Highway in Brea when four men robbed it, according to Anaheim Police Lt. Vince Howard.
No one in the salon was injured and the four men were arrested without incident, Howard said.
Police identified the men as Miguel Sandoval Diaz, 24; Art Pena, 20; Alejandro Vargas, 22; and Fernando Torres, 20, all of Santa Ana. They are being held at the Anaheim City Jail on $250,000 bail each.
Howard said the four are suspects in approximately 40 armed robberies of beauty salons in Anaheim, Orange, Santa Ana, Buena Park, Placentia, Fountain Valley, Stanton and Los Angeles County. All of these robberies were committed using the same method of operation, he said.
