THOUSAND OAKS : Applicants Needed for 4 Committees

Thousand Oaks residents interested in trees, traffic, planning or disabled access can apply for openings on four city committees. All applications are due by the end of December, and all appointments carry four-year terms.
* The Planning Commission, which rules on development issues and coordinates the city’s long-term growth, has three vacancies.
* The Traffic and Transportation Advisory Commission, which recommends ways to smooth transit throughout the city, has four vacancies.
* The Tree and Landscape Advisory Board, which studies the city’s landscape policies, has three vacancies.
* The Disabled Access Appeals and Advisory Board, which seeks to ensure that construction complies with federal and state rules, has three vacancies.
