Starting defensive backs Davon Young and Eddie Lopez and defensive linemen Brandon McGee and Jaime Dongo of Sylmar High will miss Friday’s Valley Pac-8 Conference game against North Hollywood.
The players were suspended by the school for their roles in a fight last Friday during a game against Poly. McGee and Dongo will also miss the Spartans regular-season finale against Van Nuys.
San Fernando High senior quarterback Larry Logan, who recently passed for 308 yards in a game to break Anthony Davis’ 25-year old school record, bruised his right shoulder earlier this week and may not start Friday against Taft.
Keijuan Douglas, who has started several games this season, is the backup.
Golf
Linda Chen Olsen of Granada Hills had a two-day total of 151 this week to win the championship flight of the Women’s Southern California Golf Assn. Stroke Tournament at Mission Viejo.
Linda Pearson of La Canada tied for third place at 156.
Tennis
Bruce Man Son Hing of Pasadena defeated Al Martinez of Hidden Hills, 7-5, 7-5, to win the singles championship of the Cabrini Open in Burbank.
Tony Carluen of Los Angeles and Tom McDonald of Glendale defeated Jenia Karinov of Los Angeles and Doug Young of Burbank, 6-7, 7-5, 7-6, for the doubles championship.
Roller Hockey
Hall of Famer Bobby Hull will sign free autographs from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the grand opening of the All-American In-Line Hockey League in Northridge. Skating exhibitions and a charity sports memorabilia auction also are scheduled.
Registration will be held for youth and adult teams at the outdoor facility, 18000 Devonshire St.
