Litton Industries Delays Moving Headquarters

Litton Industries Inc. has delayed the move of its headquarters from Beverly Hills to Woodland Hills, originally scheduled for this fall, until Jan. 3.
The aerospace and industrial concern said it put off the move to give it more time to renovate the Woodland Hills facility for use as a corporate office. It was formerly used for engineering work. The firm also said it would be more convenient to time the move to coincide with the end of the company’s traditional two-week holiday shutdown.
About 225 corporate staff employees will move into the Woodland Hills building, which was part of the company’s Guidance and Control Systems division. The engineering group is moving to another part of the complex, which has remained partially unused because of layoffs and the consolidation of the division’s manufacturing operations at a plant in Salt Lake City.
